Science Centre update...

the last time i have been to the science centre was last year, for the Lord of the Rings exhibition. not very long ago, this time i am back to see the little but wonderful permanent exhibitions that have been a staple in science centre, not forgetting the newer ones of course. science centre is a place strictly for adults and children aged 6-12....no teenagers. i guess we(weehao, weixian and i) are considered young adults, but i still think we are teenagers. today, being a weekend(saturday some more!) children were running amok in the centre, tagging their poor parents who cannot fail to not control them. the centre is also a place where parents and adults embarass themselves by trying out the exhibits which result in them striking eye-cringing poses. this shall be illustrated in the following photos.

first up, i arrived at the centre approx 12.30pm...upon approaching the kinetic garden, i saw this giant statue of the following dragon whose head will seem to turn to follow your every move. u can download the printable version and make yourself a mini one by clicking this link.

while waiting at the entrance plaza, i have noticed some adorable yet hyperactive children prancing about the area. waiting has never been so fun. during the time while i was there, approx 30mins, i saw 4 children fall down, 2 crying while leaving the centre and better still, the example that is coming up......

right in the openess of the kinetic garden...

this girl and her sister were playing in the unsanitised pond(no fishes tho), wad were their parents thinking?! dirty water...and it's not a swimming pool for goodness sake.

the child is innocent...but the parents aren't...it's dirty in those water u know...

ps: i like children, but i simply cannot stand hyperactive, rude and inconsiderate ones, and where do i meet children of all these different personalities? yes, the science centre. it's like an unwritten code made by these species of children to congregate and wreck havoc on the innocent public in this centre. there are children that i have net today that i simply cannot help but tell them off...eg. the one that pushed weehao and i away from the exibit that we were viewing...

ok...enough of my ranting...here are the nice pics that i took today.

this behaviour is acceptable...good boy

mirror balls

no, i din photo edit this pic...

wad does the "xx" stand for, hehe, maybe "xiaxue"(actually it's the XX chromosome that females have)

then this is the Xy chromosome that the males have

this is one lame exhibit, they tell u to push against the wall, off course no reaction wad, the wall so heavy. then they say this experiment explains the newton's principle of motion.

these children were playing with some air launch experiment. i wanted to capture their excited faces but they couldn't keep still...

ok...blurred still

give up...

mum comes in to help out...heh

weixian under the UV lighting...heh

apparently, this dad was trying very hard to show off his strength using this strength experiment...it was mainly adults that were lining up for this exhibit

then we saw this really cool lightning display in the atrium...

gone...

this game is fun, that's me(middle) in the computerised background. wiexian is to my left and weehao is to my right.

they were playing this virtual reality racing game

adults embarassing themselves...haha...i couldn't help but take this pic

yeah! the game is over

then we headed for lunch at mcdonalds, and guess who we saw?!

OZZY OSBOUNRE!!!! no la, just a look alike, but the weird thing is that who i thought was a male turned out to be a female, that's her daughter next to her, her husband's caucasian.

then we tried this fascinating exhibit that could predict how we will look in the future and how we had looked in the past, this is me when i was a child, pretty accurate i must say...

and the horror, this is how i will look when i am old...

nice little chicks...haha

there's onlyy one in the incubator...so lonely...

sea urchins are so spiny...but they are rather beautiful creatures

at the end of the day, i bought myself a little souvenir home. it's a dinosaur model DIY kit.

it's rather tiny and there are 6 of them inside

i love this kind of DIY models

after 2 hours of painting and assembling, here's the finish product, hahaz..nice hor...hehe. but i still got 5 more to complete...

6th day in aircast...
