Random thoughts over the week

well...this column is back after a i-dunno-how-long haitus.

today i am most happy cuz i bought the long awaited "d'artiste: digital painting" book by ballistic publishing. thanks basheer for importing them in again. there were only 2 copies there when i went today. lucky i went there today, cuz basheer promised to call me but din. oh ya, saw yue han there today. that reminds me that i should make a trip to NJ to check out juniors' artwork.

seems that the previews for hong kong disneyland is a flop. i mean...that's wad i feel after reading those disappointing reports. sucks. disney stubbled right from the start. (shit, i think i may go on with this topic for quite a while) well, they shouldn't have built the park that small for a start. it sucks. comparing it's overseas cousins, which have an average distance from the entrance to the end of about 750m, HK's one is only abt 350. shrimpy eh? when the proposed 'lands' (for the unaquainted, they are the themed lands which make up the park) were announced, i was in shock. WTH, only 4 lands?! that exclamation was unanimous among other disneyphiles as well. more shocking is when the size of the park was made known. i think disney made a blunder, trust me on that. we kiasu chinese wouldn't want to spend some $50 on a rip off themepark. with a mini castle to top it all off too. hmmm...but i am tempted, to visit it, to see with my own eyes if the park is really that bad, or good. but come to think of it, i think it would be a wiser choice to save my mullahs for tokyo disney seas. why? cuz it is confirm worth ur mullahs. plus, tower of terror is debuting there next year! yesh! best disney ride ever! not for the faint hearted tho. i should not curse HKDL that much la. anyway, it's opening tml. OH! that's FAST!

watched napoleon dynamite this week. really funny show. some of u might find it lame if u dun understand the american sense of humour. a must watch.
